The Story of Emerald

The emerald takes its vivid green from traces of chromium and vanadium and belongs to the beryl family, measuring between 7.5 and 8 on the Mohs scale. Fine emeralds carry a natural garden of inclusions, known as the jardin, which gemologists regard as a hallmark of a genuine natural emerald rather than a flaw. Colombia, Zambia and Brazil are the origins most closely associated with the finest greens, and every emerald we offer is sourced from trusted markets, studied by our in-house experts and independently certified by IGI before it reaches you.
